JEM control panel

To access this screen use: ComponentsJEM

The Control Panel offers the following direct link icons:

Events

Events Takes you to the events list view. You can manage your event items from this screen. Here you may view a listing of all events. You can delete, edit or add events using this screen. You can also publish or unpublish events and manage users who have registered for them.

 

Add Event

Add Event Takes you directly to the Add Event screen, where you can add a new event.

 

Venues

Venues Takes you to the venues list view. You can manage your venue items from this screen. Here you may view a listing of all venues. You can delete, edit or add venues using this screen. You can also publish or unpublish venues.

 

Add Venue

Add Venue Takes you directly to the Add Venue screen, where you can add a new venue.

 

Categories

Categories Takes you to the categories list view. You can manage your category items from this screen. Here you may view a listing of all categories. You can delete, edit or add categories using this screen. You can also publish or unpublish categories.

 

Add Category

Add Category Takes you directly to the Add Category screen, where you can add a new category.

 

Groups

Groups Takes you to the groups list view. You can manage your groups from this screen. Create a group when you want to restrict the possibility to submit events to a category only for selected members.

 

Add Group

Add Group Takes you directly to the Add Group screen, where you can add a new group.

 

Attachments

Attachments Takes you to the attachments list view. You can review and manage files attached to events, venues, categories and other JEM items.

 

Types

Types Takes you to the types list view. Types can be used to classify JEM items and provide additional structure for events, venues and categories.

 

Add Type

Add Type Takes you directly to the Add Type screen, where you can create a new type.

 

Special Days

Special Days Takes you to the Special Days list view. Special Days define date rules such as weekends, holidays, vacations or other day types. Depending on their configuration, they can visually mark calendar days and optionally block event scheduling.

 

Manage Plugins

Manage Plugins Takes you to the plugins screen. JEM plugins are handled as standard Joomla plugins, so clicking this icon will take you to the Joomla plugins screen where you will see all currently installed JEM plugins.

 

Remember that in order to use the plugins they need to be published.

 

Settings

Settings This is the heart of the JEM component. Here you decide which features you want to offer and how JEM should behave.

 

Housekeeping

Housekeeping This screen offers a set of tools to keep your database and files clean, regenerate thumbnails, clean unused data and trigger the Autoarchive function.

 

Load Sample Data

Load Sample Data Clicking this icon installs the sample data distributed with the JEM package. This set of sample data can only be installed as long as no other data, such as venues, events, categories or groups, has been entered in the database.

 

Create Frontend Menu

Create Frontend Menu Creates a frontend menu structure for JEM. This is useful after installation to quickly add links to the most common frontend JEM views.

 

Update Check

Update Check With this button JEM checks whether you are using the most recent version of JEM. If an update is available, a different update icon may be shown.

 

Import Data

Import Data Here you can import data into JEM tables.

 

Export Data

Export Data Here you can export data from JEM tables in CSV format.

 

CSS Manager

CSS Manager Here you can modify the CSS files of the various JEM views directly in the backend. Clicking a link on the right will take you to the edit screen.

 

Help

Help Opens the Help pages for JEM.

 

Toolbar

Options: Opens the Joomla Permissions screen for the JEM component. For more information about permissions, please refer to the ACL section of the Introduction screen of these Help files.
