Good job. Especially adding attendees and sending invitations from FE.
In testing, I found that in the windows Add ( "invite, adding attendess....") - filter does not react .
(As in window "my events" - where it works).
Just a reminder.
When a i create new event "invitation only". When I select the people who will be sent an invitation, and I save the event, and also receive new mail on new event all the users, which in my mail group "New Event Add". In my view, when an event is invitation only, so they should get mail information only invited participants.
The filter bug will be fixed, there is a little piece of code missing.
The "invited users only" thing I must think more about. Generally this option limits the possibility to register to users invited. But this doesn't mean that only invited users are allowed to see this event or get an email. Normally categories and (view) access level should be used to limit event visibility itself.
Regarding waiting list: If a user annul the first from waiting list should get this place automatically - I will check this. If an admin or event owner modifies list of registered users no automatism is running in the background to prevent "intermediate" notification mails. The admin/author should handle this manually. But there is already a ticket on GitHub so I will be triggered from time to time to think about a better solution.
(Edit: In case of removal you describe it would be legitime to make first waiting user to attendee automatically. But when author toggles attendee vs. waiting or on BE an admin completely changes registration status it becomes difficult. And unfortunately we don't have a Save button on list views so there is no "user has finished it's work" trigger.)

No other errors I have not.
I also have some ideas for new features and I have a few comments on how it looks editing form, but do not resolve it now, as I understand it will be resolved sometime in the future.
But I came to the "new error":
When the event creator deletes or adds attendee -> Information mail for the attendee is sent to the creator of the event - it is a new error. In version 2.2.0 RC2 it work, now it does not work. The attendees now has no information about his add or delete.
