[solved] cs file and daylight saving - outlook 2024
ics file and daylight saving - outlook 2024
4 days 7 hours ago
Hi.
Outlook 2024 does not import the ics file correctly.
Win11 is set to TZ Berlin and daylight saving is enabled. Outllook settings also is as TZ Berlin But when importing the ics file the time is not in summer time (as today 2026-10-17) but in standard TZ Berlin (means 1 hour wrong).
This validator says " www.lokr.co/tools/ics-validator " says that VTIMEZONE should be added. The original and fixed ics files are attached.
The fixed ics file works in Outlook 2024.
(Joomla 6, JEM 5.0.1)

Thank you for the example files.
I found a problem in the timezone information exported by JEM and corrected it in both refreshed beta packages.
Please test JEM 5.0.2 Beta 1 or JEM 5.1.0 Beta 4, refreshed on 18 October. Download from:
www.joomlaeventmanager.net/download/beta-versions
In JEM Settings → Global Parameters, set Timezone Handling to Event timezone (UTC export).
JEM now exports the correct UTC time for each event date, including daylight-saving changes. Your example, 7 November 2026, 14:00–16:00 in Europe/Berlin, is exported as 13:00–15:00 UTC and should appear as 14:00–16:00 in Outlook configured for Berlin. All-day events remain unchanged.
Please export a new ICS file and test it in a separate Outlook calendar to avoid confusing it with an earlier import. The automated export tests pass, but I still need your confirmation in Outlook 2024. Does it now show the correct time?
Thank you for testing.
