All github references to the JEM 5.0.0-rc5 get 404 - page not found

All github references in this forum to the JEM 5.0.0-rc5 get: 404 - page not found.

Yesterday I merged the code into the master branch. I have some minor issues to clarify, and then we will release JEM 5.0,0.
That means that the developer branches 4.5.0 and 5.0.0 are closed now.

JEM 5.0.0 *Stable* is now available from the official JEM download area.
JEM "Update check" shows the availability ,but Joomla Extensions update does not find it yet.

Yes, for the first question, that can happen.
After updating to JEM 4.5, the folder: media/com_jem/attachments may not exist yet. JEM uses this as the default attachments path, but the folder is normally created when the first attachment is uploaded.

So this is not necessarily an installation error. Please check in JEM settings, confirm the attachment path is: media/com_jem/attachments

Make sure the Joomla media/com_jem folder is writable by the web server.

And try uploading an attachment. JEM should create the required subfolder automatically, for example: media/com_jem/attachments/event123

If the upload fails, the most likely cause is folder write permissions or an incorrect attachment path.

Tell me if it works.

The second questinos, I have to test it again with the final zip file. I suppose that the XML file in the update server isn't updated. Let me check it.

The update was still marked as "beta", that's why Joomla didn't take it. It's fixed now and it should work (at least it did in my tests
