I am using Joomla version 4.4.13 and have installed JEM 4.3.3. I have set up 2 events, one for October 1, 2025 and one for April 16-19, 2026. I am trying to set up the basic module and the calendar module. Both are not showing the events. I have the categories selected but they are highlighted. The basic module just shows no events. I have tried both upcoming events and unfinished events and nothing happens.

I am meanwhile on Joomla 5.3.2 on php 8.3.22 with JEM 4.3.3+. I can't reproduce your issue.
This because I don't understand all what you write:
Is it the JEM basic module and JEM calendar module? (Or do you mean JEM simplelist menu and JEM calendar menu? Do you find the events there?
What do you mean with "I have the categories selected" and "but they are highlighted"?

It was not showing events in either Calendar module or basic module when I set them up. But I was finally able to update to Joomla 5 today as I was waiting for the club to update some of my paid extensions and it now works. So thank you for your time.
