contact person for event

I just noticed that I cannot select a certain user as contact person for a new event. I then realized that it obviously uses the joomla contacts for the selection and not the users! Has this changed?? Do I have to create a contact for every user to be able to select them? 

I could enable the plugin to automatically create contacts for new users, but what about the users that now don't have a contact assigned? I would manually have to check those and create the missing contacts. This is much work. 

Can't I just use the normal joomla user-list?

Hi, if I remember right, the contact person was always the joomla contact. This can be helpful, because you don't need a joomla user as contact.
But earlier the Author was not a joomla contact. I was able to go to the CB profile of this joomla user.
I don't know why this is changed? I miss the link to the profile.

ok, it makes sense somehow that the contact person don't has to be a joomla user. will find a way around
