Creating recuring event on multiple days every week 2 years 10 months ago #27057

Hey guys,
first I'd really like to thank you for that awesome extension, it makes quite fun to work with it!
I struggled at one point for now, I try to make a recurring event on Monday and Wednesday. but it should take place every week.
It seems, there is no option for that, right?
I can create events
every monday every week
every thursday every week
or
every monday and thursday once a month
Do you know any workarounds here?

Thanks so far!

Hello "DeadRabbit".....

Thanks for the compliment :-)
The kind of recurrence you are asking for is indeed too complicated for JEM.

My suggestion for a workaround would be to make a Monday event and a Wednesday event en then for each use the Weekly recurrence .

Hello ernst,

thank you for that fast reply, I thought it will end up like that :/
But at least I know that there is no other option ;)

Hi DeadRabbit,

I do know it's a been a while back you've posted this and it won't help you for now but maybe this kind of reccurrence will be added in the future.

Thing is that I did had it a while back in a test-version (JEM3). that version is obsolete now and like Ernst said it's complicated but it's definately doable.. Perhaps a bit of that code, restyled, can be added into a Joomla 4 version. It requires a recurrence_table + recurrence_master_table etc and a recurrence generating script.

Unfortunately we can't give you a date when or if it's going to be added... but it will be on the list.
(won't respond to PM)
