Simplelist shows "no events available" to public users after update to 4.4.0

Hi,

after updating to JEM 4.4.0 I'm experiencing an access issue with the Simplelist view.

The Simplelist page, which was previously publicly accessible, now shows "Currently, no events are available" to public users. The events are correctly visible only when logged in with Special permissions.

Here is what I have already checked:
- The Joomla menu item for the Simplelist has Access set to "Public"
- All events in the DB have access = 1 (Public)
- All categories have access = 1 (Public)
- All venues have access = 1 (Public)
- JEM Settings > User Control shows no restrictions
- JEM Groups are not used

The issue appeared immediately after updating from 4.3.4 to 4.4.0. 

I noticed that JEM 4.4.0 introduced "Support (View) Access Level on Venues, Events and Categories" (#1122). Could this new feature be related to the issue?

Solved: the issue was caused by new date range settings introduced in 4.4.0, which control how many days in the past and in the future events should be displayed. After updating these values the events became visible again

Can you please explain how did you fix it? I'm experiencing the same problem.

Please check the options in the JEM - Simplelist menu settings.
Mainly the values of the 'Number of days before today' and 'Number of days after today' fields.
See the default values in the attached image.

 

I allready had these settings before.

Please, open an issue wirh the info to debug it.
