We need a direct link to registration for events. I can't find another way to add such a link without using custom field.
I add the filter= "safeHTML" so my clients can past the raw html of the link.
My temporary solution is to set file permission for , hoping it works.

Perhaps, in an update, you can add filters to some of the 10 custom fields.
Now we have 10 text-only custom fields.
"textarea", "safehtml" and "url" would come in handy, for instance
Jojo is right, overrides are not possible.
But just place a copy of your modified file in the folder and replace it after the update.
And: links in custom fields beginning with http or https are transformed to real links.
And: with overrides you can create a lot of things with the overrides, e.g. use one custom field as link, the next as link label etc.
