weekly events

This is a new installation with the beta package from today. 

Thank you for the screenshots. The result shown is correct: Sunday 1 November is the original event, not an extra recurrence.

In JEM, Start Date defines the first actual event. The selected weekdays control subsequent repetitions; they do not remove or move the original event.

Your current configuration produces 1, 4, 6, 11 and 13 November. Only the original event falls on Sunday.

Here are two examples, both repeating every week until 15 November 2026:

Example 1 — Wednesdays and Fridays only
- Start Date: Wednesday 4 November.
- Selected weekdays: Wednesday and Friday.
- Result: 4, 6, 11 and 13 November.

Example 2 — Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays
- Start Date: Sunday 1 November.
- Selected weekdays: Sunday, Wednesday and Friday.
- Result: 1, 4, 6, 8, 11, 13 and 15 November.

The key difference is that selecting Sunday also generates the following Sundays, rather than keeping only the original Sunday event.

Please try the example that matches your intended schedule and let us know the result.

Okay, if that's the intended behavior. From my experience with other event managers, I know that days outside the selected weekdays aren't displayed.

Your feedback inspired a new option to exclude Special Days, such as holidays or closures, when generating recurring events.

A refreshed JEM 5.1.0 Beta 4 package includes this feature for testing.

This is a new version in BETA with many new features.
Please test it in a closed environment before using it in production.

This does not change how the initial event is handled: it remains in place, and existing occurrences are not deleted. The exclusions apply to newly generated occurrences.
