How can I create an event that repeats every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday of the week without having to create three separate events?

Please test the refreshed JEM 5.0.2 Beta 1 package on a test site.

The Weekly recurrence option now lets you select several weekdays, such as Monday, Wednesday and Friday, without creating three separate series. The event’s starting weekday is selected automatically, and existing weekly schedules keep their previous behaviour.

For example, an event starting on Wednesday with Monday, Wednesday and Friday selected will first repeat on Friday, then Monday. No occurrences are generated before the start date.

Could you please check your Monday/Wednesday/Friday example and confirm that the selected days are saved and the expected events are generated?

The event's start date is also repeated, even if it is not included in the weekday selection.
For example: Start date: October 12; weekdays: Tuesday and Thursday. Result: October 19, October 20, October 22.

I checked the recurrence calculation: with a start date of 12 October 2026 and only Tuesday and Thursday selected, it produces 13, 15, 20 and 22 October, not Monday 19 October. I have not yet reproduced your result through the complete save process.

Could you please confirm:
1. Did you create a completely new event and select Tuesday and Thursday before saving it for the first time, or change an existing weekly series?
2. After saving and reopening the event, are only Tuesday and Thursday still selected?
3. Are you editing in the frontend or backend?

Changing an existing recurrence keeps previously generated events as separate events. This could explain the remaining Monday, but we need to confirm whether that applies here.

If you edited an existing series, please try a new test event with a different title, remove Monday from the selection before the first save, and let us know which dates are generated.

Thank you for confirming. Since this happens with a new event in the backend, it cannot be explained by occurrences left over from an older series.

Our checks of the current JEM 5.0.2 Beta 1 recurrence code have not reproduced the additional Monday. This is the example we tested:
- Start date: Monday, 12 October 2026.
- Recurrence: Weekly, every 1 week.
- Selected weekdays: Tuesday and Thursday only.
- Calculated occurrences: 13, 15, 20, 22, 27 and 29 October.
- Monday, 19 October: not generated.

The original event on 12 October remains, but subsequent Mondays should not be generated.

These checks cover the recurrence calculation; we still need to reproduce your complete backend save workflow.

Could you please share screenshots of the full recurrence settings and the generated event list, including dates and IDs? Please also confirm when you downloaded your Beta 1 package, as several refreshed builds use the same version number.
