Include JEM Calendar into Mac Calendar 1 year 3 months ago #29054

Hi,

I've recently installed JEM to my Joomla Website and I like it. Unfortunately the documentation is quite thin (what I have found so far within help), or I've not found the details yet. If so I am sorry for that other wise, I hope you guys can help me. Up to now I used google calendar for the Webseite and also I included it into my Mac calendar systems.
I mean it was quite easy to add a new event into the calendar by just using Mac calendar and it was on the site right away, now backend login, nothing else. Unfortunately google calendar does not really has a nice look.

My question is, is it possible to include JEM Calendar into the Mac Calendar system somehow. I've seen some similar forum entries with a timestamp several years ago. Cannot imagine that there hasn't changed anything up to now, I actually belive more that I have not found the right description yet or I am too stupid to find the right entry.

SO is there a way to integrate it?

Thanks in advance.
Stefan

Hi,
in frontend,  you find on different places ical buttons, which create ics files. I don't have mac calendar, but I googled: there should be no problem to import ics files into mac calendar.

Thanks, but this is not what I meant. iCal based synchronization is a some kind of export / import process.
What I a looking for is a way to connect to the JEM calendar and an autonomous based syntonization, usually API based.

It seems to me there is no such automated integration in the public, definitely not listed here or in the Joomla! Extensions Directory.
Same for Google Calender, MS Outlook/Exchange, ...
All we have are import/export functions.
