Unfortunately your description is rather short and we cannot know how you introduced your problem.

Let me guess you played with recurring events and thereafter you tried to change something for these series of recurring events and ended up in a creation of a double. If this is the case, please read once more the help for recurring events. Recurring events are not that intuitive to handle - and the implementation is not very smart.
