I want to show events in eventlist descending as default. Did not found it in source code. Is it possible with small effort ?

There were just some posts in this forum with that wish, but there was always a logical error. This doesn't make sense! Only in archived events! If you would really do that in upcoming events, then look how it's programmed in for archived events.
