JEM goes Joomla 4 – with your help!

Thanks for your insights AlainR.
I think it's safe to say that JEM offers more functionality then the free versions of each of the two.
We just want to offer all JEM users to upgrade to Joomla4 effortlessly, without transferring all their data to a new component.

I agree with ernst67, in their free versions the products mentioned by AlainR do not fulfill the needed functionality for the three websites of the clubs I support voluntarily as webmaster.
On the other side these charitable clubs hardly cannot pay the needed yearly subscription of the paid versions of that products just for a few events monthly.

Hi All,
It's good to see a different idea for getting JEM to be a Joomla 4.0 extension. It's been over 10 years since I left the development and support of the project, so it's good to see it moving to a longer life/future.
While I don't use the module at the moment, I'm only supporting a very simple site based on Joomla at the moment without a need for it. However I do find myself with some time to come back and experiment at least. Perhaps to support and develop too.
Based on my ancient and limited knowledge I can see the migration to 4.0 not being a hard thing since the original code followed a lot of the core Joomla design principles which continue to be used as CMS evolves.
Best wishes on this venture!
regards,
Edmond
