You may have noticed the site was offline for 6 days. We apologise for the inconvenience and we think we owe you an explanation.
It took a little while to find out what the reason was that the site went offline. Off course initially we thought of a technical failure, only to find out after 3 days the cause was an administrative one.
The domain name is owned by JEMSA (Joomla Event Manager Software Association, an association that has no other goal than to keep the domain names and the website up and running by taking donations and using them to pay for the expenses.
The domain hosting company has sent us warnings that the balance on our account needed to be topped up. Unfortunately those messages were not forwarded to the right email address. Our fault.
After this was discovered we lost some extra time discussing the extra costs of invoicing with the domain hoster. Then the matter was resolved this morning.On behalf of JEMSA I would like to apologise again and we promise to adjust the procedures to make sure this can’t happen again.
