Modul Newest Entry that where made

Hello there,

it will be nice if we can have a modul which will show the last newest entry from the events where have been done in the database
I think it will not so hard, isn´t it?

welcome on our forum and thanks for your idea. I'm sure there are more people being happy to get such an option.

You're right, it's not very hard. But currently I see three issues:

• We have too many modules. So an already existing module should be enhanced - but which... (I think I know your answer )
• What's the "newest entry"? Sounds like a crazy question but in Joomla we have creation date, last modified date, and publishing date. :ohmy: So I would kick back the ball and provide a dropdown box where you must decide. :whistle:
• We are a little team with much more tasks pending than hours. So I give no comment about a timeframe.

Loud thinking about possible implementation:
Simply order by one of these three timestamps and show the first X. But attention with "modified". It maybe empty, so "created" should be used in that case.

Your ideas sound very good.
But do you think that we need this "last modified" selected option?
The creating and publishing date should be enought and also an dropdown menu for the first x events will be shown.

I am curious about it.
