Feature requests for JEM 2.0 - initial public release

No event, no listing...

No event, no listing...

Hi team, not been here long but loving it, a feature I cannont find however, that would be extremely useful, is an option in the VenuesList (Simple List of Venues) Menu Item selection to display only those with Events Listed (as standard).

If you think a check box on the outputted Front End screen to "Display All Venues" is not too difficult to achieve I wouldn't object and perhaps the code could be used in other menu item types (like Venues and Venues By Type) but I don't want to give you too much work, just something to think about if you are planning to code. 🤣🤣

Thanks for considering the idea,

just to note:
adding an option to the menu-item might be very usefull. and it won't require much work.
the thickbox box in frontend is something else.

Good to add to Github as Feature request?

Thank you for the suggestion.A new venue event filter has now been implemented for the Venues, Venues List, and Venues by Type menu items. Administrators can configure the view to display:
  • all venues;
  • only venues with events currently visible to the visitor;
  • only venues without visible events.
An optional Show all venues checkbox can also be enabled for frontend visitors.The filter respects event publication dates and the access permissions of events, categories, and event types. It is applied directly to the database query, so venue counts and pagination remain correct.Existing menu items remain compatible and continue to display all venues by default.

The fix is included in this commit: github.com/jemproject/JEM-Project/commit/b2038da8ec99244d466e7f2e9545a42352d8b875

Hi team, I wondered how things were going with the release of the next JEM update, especially this feature, which I did not find in the Beta version.

Do we have a date pencilled in or something to look forward to please?

I tried my best to break it but it displays and works exactly as asked, only shows venues with events. Thank you !!

However I have now found an issue when clicking on the Calendar in venueslist (menu item).

Warning: Undefined variable $color in (domain)/httpdocs/components/com_jem/views/venue/tmpl/responsive/calendar.php on line 450

This error repeats for every event at the venue selected. I don't have a great deal of data in the beta domain so I may not have set it up correctly, but if you could take a look at the code and check.

Cheers,
Digby
