JEM Event Location - website link "bug"

Hello,
In the past, we added the link for a Map () or the location itself in the events location "website" field in the location details.
Since a while Google is using capitals letters in the generated links.
Every time one safes the event, the capital letters are changed into normal (small) letters so the links are not working any more.
It was working with Joomla 3 without any problem, since the update to Joomla 5 it's not.
Is that a known issue and possibly a workaround available?

Hi, this is an interessant idea, but was never thought like this!
So your use is wrong.
The website is for the url the location has, e.g. the site of a restaurant. it's because of that all capitals will be changed.
For maps is only the map part!
If you want to use it, as you want, you must change this in your site.

thanks for your fast answer.

We are using JEM and the described method at least since Joomla 1.5.
That time, there was no (maybe just for us) other usable option available other than the described one and it was working perfect.
Even in Joomla 3 there was no override of the links, as we used it this way until Novenber '23.
So i was in hope, it might be a minor change, not overriding a given link.

I just dicovered the "new" map options in JEM.
Problem, we are not always having full street adresses as locations available, so that will be a challenge for new locations. We are a "trail" running club with changing start points, most times out of town.

I am not sure, what you want to express with "you must change this in your site".
The links, i am thinking about are given by Google Maps. So i can not change that.

I will check, what's working best.
"Worst case", we have to include the link in the text descritpion.

Hi Axel,
I think you could change the rules for this field. I think it is prepared for url whicg is always in minuscule. But because I am not a developer I don't know where you have to change it.
