Hi,
just upgraded from Eventlist to JEM and seems to be missing the "add venue" button on the Event tab in main publishing area, front end. This was a great simple feature in eventlist.
In the JEM help there is a text: "Venue: Choose the venue you want to associate with this event or set the value to no venue. If you want you can also add a new venue to the venue database by clicking the "add" button."
This button is not visable.
Is this a bug, feature or am I missing something?

You're right,

the feature you're mentioning is indeed not added. At the moment a venue can't be added directly from the event view.

It's ofcourse possible to add it but it will require some coding to be done.

Is this feature in the pipe for next release or not in your scope at all?

it wasn't in my scope as there are other things to be done but as this one is relative easy to add it might be something to add.

added an issue (todo) at Github so if someone is picking it up then that would be nice. Unofrtunately i can't do it myself for a while.

I just wrote it in github: during developing JEM the developers suppressed for some reasons this. I don't know anymore the reasons. But this should be checked before reimplementing it.

I also think we had droped this but don't know details.

But I don''t think it's easy because you're already within event creation and then start a venue creation (in the popup?) and after that will continue with event creation - sounds a bit more complicated for me.

Sure, from user's point of view it would be a nice and helpful feature, so I fully understand this. From developer's point of view I wonder how we can stack these two forms.
