I had a look at the registration:
I can reproduce the problem and also found other inconsistent elements in the registration process in the background (for example: you can register for 0 places, you can register even though there are 0 places, etc. and the registration settings in the events can contradict each other),

I think
1) it is good to fix this bug here.
2) then in a second step take a closer look at registration and create a consistent process.
