I think I missed your post ;)

I vote for "Veranstaltungsort". Programmers have often different approach to language than ordinary user. ;-)

You might be right B)

The solution posted earlier venue=Ort and city=Stadt is rather bad. As already mentioned, not every village is a city, and "Ort" is definitely the title for "city" - used in all address forms accross Germany.

And if a visitor sees a table with two columns "Ort" and "Stadt" he will be confused, since this has the same meaning to him. If "Ort", then it has to be "Veranstaltungsort".

Sure, Stadt is not correct and Ort for Venue is not precise.

As you can see here, I used "Treffpunkt" instead, but there would be space enough also for "Veranstaltungsort".

It works for you, but that is not the solution for everybody. They might have more columns, a smaller content area etc.

Maybe Veranstaltungsort should be the default for tables too. I don't know what's best, there seems to be no perfect solution.

My intention is to use a language which can easily be understood by the average visitor of my website.

Sure, that's the goal. But you see, it is not that easy sometimes

Standort and Location are not my favorites :P

If you are still in need for the Swiss German, I can help. Just hand over the latest de-De files.

Personally I use t4_stark template with t4_system plugin framework with bootstrap and fontawesome)
(I prefer free "Signal" or paid "Threema" instead of "Whatsapp".)
