what are your standard time settings in JEM settings?

I use PHP 8.1. Standard JEM setting (as in J3) is

I changed it to

Now it is OK.

When I hide old events in the component they are nevertheless publicly shown in the front end menu item with menu type Simplelist (Link &view=eventslist).

Sorry, now it works. Perhaps a cache problem after changing to hidden.

When I use the default responsive layout. the Event images are small. How do I change that? I don't think the responsive template is working correctly. When I use the overrides in the settings/layout tab to change the colors some work some do not. However when I switch to the legacy style all the colors work and the images are larger and useable. You can see from the pic uploaded that when hovering in the responsive design it fails to pick up the right color, but does in legacy. you can see the image size change and this is only from flipping the layout switch in the settings.

I think you have the version which has setting only for image height. The image width is hidden behind, because of an error. This will come back.
