I have the same problem: althoug I've set a module only to be displayed on the homepage, it still appears on the page of a JEM-event.
The strange thing is: I updated from Joomla3 to Joomla4. The pages with events that were already in Joomla3 do not show the module, but when I make a new event in Joomla4, it does.

Unfortunate not. I adjusted the layout a bit so it more clear to the users of the site. Would be nice if this issue can be solved, but I did not hear anything after mentioning that the modules are set-up correctly with show on specific pages only.

You need a shadow menu point "Single Event" (doesn't matter which event id). The shadow menu is not published but public.
