Hi Support,

If a user edits an event in the forntend, he needs to add an new image. So the can't save the event without adding a (new) image
But if I change an event in the backend I don't need to replace the image.
Is it possible to change this? So the event system doesn't needs te be replaced?

An event doesn't need an image. But if a user wants to post an image from the frontend, he needs to upload a new image. We decided this, years ago, for safety reasons, so the poster in the frontend is responsible for the rights of the image, he can't take an image from someone else in the eventmanager. But he can copy an event with an image inside

Thank you for your response. I can imagine a user needs to upload an image if he wants one.

but if the event already exists and he need to make a small change eg a small text change. Why does he need to upload an image again? And if he doesn’t upload an image he can’t save the events

I agree, but this will not be changed. Because of the lack of devs!
I would propose to add in frontend the possibility of copy the event. Like that you  could reuse your own image. The admin won't have any problems with copyrights! 
If you can develop this, please share.
EDIT: Better than I thought!
I've just seen that there is a copy existing event in frontend!
