Limiting access in Joomla Administrator & remove unused fields 5 years 4 months ago #25223

Hello, I am wondering if there is a way to use some sort of ACL to limit access to just the Event list and edit screens? We don't want our admins (anyone except the superuser) to have access to the other tabs of JEM, like Settings, Categories, Venues, etc. Just want them to create and edit events only.

Is this possible? We want to do this from the Joomla Administrator Backend as this is where they do all the editing.

Also, in the same idea, is it possible to remove the extra fields from the Event edit screen, such as End Time, Venue, Attach, etc...

Thank you.

For the first point, if there was a way to hide the JEM sidebar in the component, that would do what we need. Any ideas how to hide the sidebar?

The sidebar contains (Control Panel, VEvents, Venues, Categories, Groups, Settings , etc...)

Thankyou.

In which JEM version are you? (In JEM 2.2.3 I don't know VEvents)
