Hi Bluefox ,

Basicly it's possible to add a "Venue" filter+city filter to the eventslist menu-item options.

I do not find this option in the management of the menus.
I do not understand why you talk about eventlist if we are working with Jem.
Maybe I just can not follow your advice or you used the name eventlist assuming that we are talking about JEM?

well, maybe i'll take a look at it..

Do you think this change can be done? Also because it seems a logical option, as I wrote above in hoffi, if we think of a user searching for an event. It should be more logical to look for him in a city and not for a home.
What do you think about it?

sorry for the confusion.

The reason i talked about "eventslist" is that we're having a view called "eventslist". So didn't meant the component "Eventlist"

was talking in general and as possible feature. You're right that such option is not there but it can be created B)

Ah... That's a different story! :woohoo:

A user can filter the list by city, this filter type is already implemented. So a user can choose Filter type City and type in (parts of) the city name (s)he wants to search events for.

But you have to show the City column in the list to activate this filter option (backend JEM -> Settings -> Layout).
This restriction is implemented within the view, e.g. /components/com_jem/views/eventslist/view.html.php (search for comment "// search filters"). If you there remove the "if ... {" line (and corresponding "}" line below) this filter type will be always available.

only thinking of one possible solution:
could it be possible to create for each city a category. Then you can create subcategories.
I have events for 5 parishes and for the whole region together. And I am working with categories and subcategories.
