I had installed pkg_jem_v2.1.1.zip. I removed it totally, including in the PHPMYADMIN.

I then installed pkg_jem_v3.0.6.zip and I get that message.

Is there possibly files left over from the 2.1.1 version that I missed?

Thanks!

it looks like that as it's saying that the xml files are missing.

did you do a package removal of JEM2.1.x?
ah well will test it out to see what it does.

hmm, did test a bit but can't replicate the problem :(

am having Joomla 3.3.6:
- did install the pkg 2.1.1
- then removed it (package uninstall), also the tables
- then installed the JEM 3.0.6 package

installing went fine so not sure what the problem can be.but you can try to reinstall the package again.
it can be that there was an jem.xml leftover from the previous version but not sure..

So I went to phpMyAdmin, searched for "JEM", deleted them from the tables. Is there something else to delete? If not, I will try installing it again.

Thanks!!

I guess/hope you did make a backup in case you had data.

Normally you can remove the JEM component by selecting the package and then click uninstall.. you'll see several notations of JEM but the package is the one that should be used for uninstall

Then the tables. It can be done by phpmyadmin but luckily we did add an option in Settings-view that can be selected so that at uninstall the tables are removed.

to be totally sure if everything is removed you can check if these folders are not there:
- components/com_jem
- administrator/components/com_jem

I didn't have much data entered yet so I didn't need to back up - but thanks for checking :)

Unfortunately the issue continues, please see attached.
