In EventList for J1.5 there was an (inofficial) plugin "ListEvents" to list Events in articles with the help of a tag and parameters, e.g.
{listevents type=next catid=3 max=5} etc.

The text from the description:
List Events from EventList - 0.1c
Default parameters are defined on the Plugin configuration. Multiple instance settings can be defined using the command line parameters:{listevents [type=current|next|prev|regnext|regprev|new] [title=on|link|off] [date=on|link|off] [time=on|off] [catid=n] [category=on|link|off] [venueid=n] [venue=on|link|off] [max=n] [noeventsmsg=msg] }

At the moment with JEM I need to do it via modules which then are included in articles (or is there an easier way?).
It would be very nice to have this Plugin again in JEM.

I still have the J1.5 plugin package. It is attached to the posting – maybe it is of some help.

Hi Hekla,

many thanks for the info and inspiration. It's indeed a very nice and useful enhancement I would like to realise immediately. But if I look on our task lists I fear this must wait a longer time. :(

So if there is anyone interested in implementing this plugin: feel free, you're welcome! :cheer:
I would suggest to use JemModelEventslist and our frontend helper classes instead of direct DB access to be more save against future modifications, mod_jem could be an example for that.

I really like your idea and I'm unhappy not having enough time for that yet. I hope we find a good way...

Thanks Hekla,

I was unaware of such a plugin, and I sure like the idea!

Two questions:
  1. Can this plugin be used in the descrption text of an event? Sometimes it's useful to have an event which contains links to other events. e.g. a weekend festival that has individual events on Friday, Saturday and Sunday....
  2. If I saw this well, there is no option for the event image...?

I really hope someone finds the time to develop / modify this for JEM

That depends if we in JEM support content plugins. ;)
I know we trigger some events (here "event" is more a function call, not a JEM event) but have never tried content plugins together with JEM. The plugins itself work with any content - as long as they are triggered.

So it's a matter of testing...?

Yes, good idea.
I looked into code and can say that content plugins are triggered on event view. But testing is always a good idea. :)
