Hi,

I am trying to add a new field in the event backend of eventlist.

I create a new field named "artist" in my db _eventlist_events

I add an input field with the same name of my db column in administrator/components/com_eventlist/views/event/tmpl/

I add $event->artist= null; in initData function in
/www/administrator/components/com_eventlist/models/event.php

The result is that I have a field in my form event. Its value shows the DB value (if I change it manually) but if I change the value of my form in the joomla backend the value of my field does not change.

Did I miss something?

Hi, welcome to this forum. First of all for your help, is it right, that you are asking for eventlist 1.0.1. on joomla 1.5, because you are on this support?

Yes I am using 1.5 Joomla with the 1.0.1 version of Eventlist.
(This is a kind of old website. )

Hi, thanks for your answer. I don't work anymore on J1.5 and eventlist 1.0.1. In the background we work hard for a version for J2.5 with hacks like customfields included. But you can easy find a patch/hack for your version whick includes 10 customfields.
Google for "customfields eventlist". And be aware, you should first save the old files.

Beause I am working on a old website and a old eventlist component I wanted to do minimal change in the code.

So, I'll try to continue my research. I think the old documentation on the previous forum is no more avaible online.

Problem solved!

I found a file in /www/administrator/components/com_eventlist/tables/
where the vars are stated.
