How to add [Title] metatag in frontend? 10 years 3 months ago #7965

when adding events in the backend, I can decide what meta options I want to be added to the metatags description and keywords (i.g. [title] [a_name] [catsid]. Users that add events from the frontend however, don't have this option. Consequently, I have to open each and every event added from the frontend in the backend and save it again to get the metatags filled.

Is there a way to skip this step? It's a lot of work you know... :-)

Thanks in advance for any help!!

Hi, I am only a user like you but I think I can help
in configuration>meta options there is a possiblity to give metatags for global. So when there's nothing changed in the individual event, the metatags are like that. (Often I forgot the metatags, but I found them for an event.

Thanks jojo12, but that's exactly the problem. The metaoptions are set (to include the title as meta keywords and meta description), but only apply to events that are entered in the backend. When entering events in the frontend, the metaoptions are not included at first. Only when I open the event in the backend and save it again, the metas are included. See attachments

Hi, that's interesting. Do you are on EL 1.0.1 (I am working in EL1.0.2 with joomla 2.5)

where can I find a image like meta-empty.jpg. I searched but didn't find the metatags.

meta.jpg in backend I know.

example of how it should be:
www.uitinlimburg.nl/details/25283-stille...-nacht-melderslo.htm
This is the result when I enter an event in the backend. meta's are filled with the title tag (like I defined in meta options). not so when entering events in the frontend like I described.

Anybody has a solution?
