Version for Joomla 3? 6 years 9 months ago #13561

This is an old thread, but that's really why I'm replying here and not starting a new (identical) topic.

Where's the joomla 3 version at please? I tried emailing off your form but the captcha is broken - there's no text shown nor a box to type it into. Thanks.

Where's the joomla 3 version at please?

to be short:
At the moment there is no release for J3.

There is a branch at Github but it's outdated and doesn't include a lot of the fixes/alterations. It's also not sure when we as time will have a version available but there will be one for the end of the year.

When do you need the version?

I'm building the site right now, so, sorta, right now! :-)

did expect that one B)

hmm, adjusting the current files at Github will definately take 1 or more weeks depending of the time invested.

well something that can be done now is:
- install latest package within J3+, be aware that there is a check for J3+ and it will abort if detected so the check has to be removed.
- when installed the backend will be messy as J3 is using a different template but it can be adapted.
- test it out a bit and like Jojo told you can switch to another admin-template for the time-being.

but have to say that it's not clear at the moment what the official start-point will be for JEM J3+ so it can be that when a J3+ version is released it's taking other settings into account and not making expected adjustements.

//
one more thing that i can say is that i'm going to start adapting the files to J3+ at the end of May no matter if it's on the schedule or not.
(if not then it's on a personal note)

You're right but:
It seems you have special ideas for JEM J3.

I would prefer to make workable JEM in J3 with only fixing bugs. Using the new possibilities of J3 should come later.
So I would propose to remove the blocker for J3+. And to post a list what they have to do, to get a testing platform for the existing JEM.
