however all i receive is this error message:
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/content/18/6568918/html/modules/mod_eventlist_teaser/helper.php on line 135

Any suggestions?

could you confirm the version of JEM and Joomla you are using please.

mod_eventlist_teaser ?

Eventlist was for Joomla 1.5. and for Joomla 2.5 (with some pain).
Please use JEM.
