Import Archive EventList 1.0 in EventList 1.0.2 7 years 6 months ago #8992

hi Janji,.

I'm not sure about version v1.0 as i've never used it, but i think it can be possible. Will try to find the 1.0 version to see how it looks like.

Do you know how to handle phpmyadmin & ftp/drectadmin?.

Something that can be done is to create an Export/Import view (i'm willing to do that) for Eventlist v1.02 so you can import the events easily if you have a csv file. Actually the files have been posted in a topic. The view needs to be uploaded by ftp/directadmin and you have to alter a php page.

Another thing is to import the sql you got from the export of v1.0.
(probably needs some altering).

--> do you have an sql file of the v1.0 version?.

edit:
did find the v1.0 version at this link and will install it and take a look.

Thanks for the quick response!

I am not very familiar with phpmyadmin & ftp/drectadmin but I think I can handle it with directions.

I think I can create a sql file, but I am not sure which tables have to be in it.

Right now, I have only the old site ( www.dvlfb.de/cms/ ) and the new 2.5 installation ( lehrerinnenfortbildung.de/cms/index.php/events ) with some manual added events. On the old site are over 70 events I really would like to copy and paste to the new site.

well, i was thinking about writing some information about importing, exporting installing of Eventlist v1.1 to JEM.

But i'm willing to write some information about using the version you have and will try to explain how to import the table within Eventlist v1.02. I've seen you're website and it seems that you're using EventList 0.8.12 © Alpha.
--> so will try to find that version and install it.

It will take a few days till the info is there..

Import Archive EventList 1.0 in EventList 1.0.2 7 years 6 months ago #8998

no problem :).

Well, The info is not ready yet but have been taking a quick look at it.

A lot of the eventlist table fields have been altered and i'm not able to install the 0.8 version at the moment. The 0.8 version won't work within Joomla 1.5 with the legacy plugin. So it seems that it can only be installed within Joomla 1.0 and it needs a different PHP version.

The information about export is going to be about phpmyadmin 3.5.1 and the table you need for the export of the csv file is called "eventlist_dates" and the info will be about the table "eventlist_events". there were 4 fields i'm not sure about what it does 'sendername, sendermail, devliverip, deliverdate' but it seems to be related with mail. Those fields are not in the Eventlist v1.02 events table anymore.

If you want to use/store the information about categories/venues you will need to export the other tables too.
- eventlist_locate
- eventlist_categories

There will also be some information about using the import&export view of Eventlist as i think it will be the easiest solution for now.
